World AIDS Day raises awareness about HIV and AIDS – across the world and in the community.
World AIDS Day events:
- promote awareness of HIV
- show support for people who are living with HIV
- remember loved ones lost to AIDS
- celebrate communities’ achievements
- combat stigma
- raise funds for the cause.
Money raised from World AIDS Day events is used for:
- community support and education programs
- reducing stigma and discrimination
- HIV research
- support and helplines.
