Amidst all that's happened in 2020, it’s important for us to keep HIV on the agenda. HIV 101 is a webinar designed to inform or refresh your knowledge on HIV. This webinar will cover a brief history of HIV, discuss the importance of prevention, the types of prevention available in Australia, as well as testing and treatment options. We invite you to join Josef Garrington, ACONs' Southern Regional Health Promotion Officer and Naomi Viret the Health Education Officer from the Caddyshack Project, as they take you through HIV in an interactive and thought provoking way.
Red Ribbon surfboard tour

After a popular tour in 2019 the Red Ribbon Surfboard competition tour is returning between July and December 2020. The Red Ribbon is a unifying symbol of solidarity and respect for people living with HIV/AIDS and the surfboard continues to raise awareness around sexual health & blood borne infections. In 2020 this beautiful surfboard features art work by Gerringong based artist Melanie Duncan. To enter text ‘share affection not infection’ and your postcode to 0434 568 233. Winner will be drawn on 1st December to acknowledge World AIDS Day.

Byron Lighthouse glows red

The famous Byron Bay Lighthouse will once again glow red in remembrance of those who have passed away and to bring awareness to people living with conditions associated to HIV
Staff will be on site from 7.30 - 8pm in support of this promotion and to answer any questions community may have in relation to the lighthouse glowing red which can be seen from Byron Town Centre.
